Gijs van de Kuilen is Professor of Decision Making Under Uncertainty at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management, a fellow of the Center for Economic Research, and a member of the Tilburg Experimental Economists group.
He has received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of P.P. Wakker. His main research interest concerns the psychological determinants of individual decision making under uncertainty. Currently, he is working on the VIDI project entitled “The Emotional Side of Choice Behavior.” The aim of this project is to identify the role of emotions in explaining anomalous choice behavior, using methods from experimental economics.
